You want your work as a Lead Product Manager to matter more than another B2B workflow tweak. You want to turn complex, multi-product systems into something that feels simple, dependable and almost invisible, especially when people are going through some of the hardest moments in their lives. As a Lead Product Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of a founder‑owned, market‑leading technology business that provides audio‑visual, streaming and digital products to the funerals and ceremonies sector. Their products span venue AV infrastructure, media management and streaming platforms, tribute and content services, digital memorial experiences and immersive next‑generation venues.

This newly created role makes you the connective tissue between the Product Director’s strategy and a growing team of Product Managers. You’ll own the portfolio roadmap for the digital and software side of the business, raise the overall standard of product practice, and build a high‑performing team in a company moving from adolescence to a more mature, product‑led future.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Product Managers, giving them clear ownership of products while setting a high bar for customer insight, delivery and commercial thinking.
  • Translate the Product Director’s vision into a single, prioritised roadmap across media and streaming platforms, content services and digital memorial products, and keep it sequenced, realistic and outcome‑led.
  • Own portfolio‑level prioritisation, balancing family experience, funeral professional needs, commercial return, technical feasibility and operational impact, and make the trade‑off calls others elevate.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day escalation point for cross‑product conflicts and resourcing decisions, unblocking teams and ensuring every Product Manager stays focused on what matters most.
  • Partner closely with Technology, Engineering, Data, Delivery, Marketing and Customer teams so initiatives are well defined, technically sound, operationally workable and clearly launched to the market.
  • Drive portfolio governance across propositions, pricing input, lifecycle and investment decisions, and deputise for the Product Director in senior forums when needed.
  • Shape and embed pragmatic product management frameworks, processes and governance that elevate product maturity in a non‑corporate, founder‑led environment without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.

What You'll Bring

  • You have proven experience as a Lead Product Manager or similar, leading Product Managers or senior product professionals in a multi‑product setting.
  • You have a strong track record of turning strategy into a deliverable roadmap that cross‑functional teams can plan, execute and iterate against.
  • You are confident owning portfolio‑level prioritisation and making trade‑offs across multiple products, stakeholders and competing demands.
  • You bring a deeply customer‑first mindset with empathy for users navigating sensitive, emotionally charged situations, and a commitment to simple, accessible experiences.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative style when partnering with Technology, Data, Delivery, Marketing and Customer teams.
  • You are familiar with modern product practices and tools, for example agile delivery, Jira and Confluence, squad‑based models, accessibility or government‑style design principles, and you lead through coaching.

What's On Offer

  • Base salary in the region of £65,000–£80,000, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working, typically three days a week in the South Yorkshire office, with flexibility around team and customer commitments.
  • A newly created Lead Product Manager position where you can shape the structure, processes and culture of a maturing product organisation.
  • Direct exposure to the Product Director and senior leadership, with a clear path into broader product leadership over time.
  • The opportunity to work on products that directly support families, celebrants and funeral professionals at some of the most meaningful moments of their lives.

If you’re a Lead Product Manager who wants to build a high‑performing product function while shaping technology that genuinely makes a difference, this role offers the platform to do exactly that.
