Are you a Senior Product Engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys shaping products from the ground up and feels confident working across the full stack? Our technology start-up client is looking for someone who can combine strong engineering ability with thoughtful product thinking to help develop the next evolution of their platform.
You’ll be joining a small, highly capable team where engineers take real ownership and play a key part in defining how features are built, how systems scale and how the product evolves. This is a role for someone who enjoys moving between discovery, prototyping and delivery, and who wants the freedom to influence both the technical direction and the user experience.
Day to day, you’ll work across user-facing features and backend services, help shape architectural decisions, and support the development of best practices across testing, automation, deployment, and observability. You’ll contribute ideas early, build lightweight proofs of concept, and iterate quickly based on feedback. The position carries a high level of autonomy, giving you the space to explore, experiment, and bring forward improvements that meaningfully advance the product.
You’ll also collaborate closely with peers across design, product and engineering, while helping to maintain strong engineering standards as the team grows. This opportunity suits someone with several years of experience in software engineering, ideally with time spent in lean or early-stage environments where adaptability and clear thinking matter.
You’ll bring a broad full-stack toolkit, strong communication skills and the ability to reason through open-ended problems. The role benefits from someone with strong UX sensitivity, an ability to work independently from concept through to delivery, and the confidence to collaborate across functions with clarity and purpose.
A naturally experimental and curious engineering mindset paired with consistently high-quality standards will be important, especially when navigating data-heavy applications, performance considerations and evolving product needs. Experience with modern front-end frameworks, scalable backend systems, databases, cloud environments and monitoring will all be valuable.
The core technologies you will work with include:
- Typescript and modern JavaScript
- React or similar front-end frameworks
- Python or comparable backend languages
- PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- AWS or other cloud platforms
- CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring
- Containerisation and orchestration tools
- APIs, microservices and scalable system design
Additional strengths such as experience with workflow automation, complex systems, or interest in emerging technologies would be welcome but not required.
