Consortia has joined forces with an innovative research and development business seeking an Engineering Product Manager responsible for developing and communicating the product goal, creating and communicating the product backlog, and ensuring the product backlog is visible and clearly understood.
The Engineering Product Manager will work closely with the Chief Product Officer to define and report likely changes in project goals, requirements, and costs required because of new commercial or technical information.
Job Title: Product Manager – Engineering
Location: Hampshire – (flexible working, onsite days TBC)
Salary: £80,000
Your responsibilities:
– Discuss progress reports with business stakeholders.
– Communicate changes to project timelines and identify the root cause to minimise overall impact on the project.
– You will be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable dealing with senior management.
– Report project activity to the Chief Product Officer.
– Manage technical, production and purchasing support requests.
Skills required:
– Demonstrated experience in new product development.
– Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
– Experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.
– Comfortable working in a customer-facing role.
– You can manage multiple projects and take the initiative to ensure successful delivery.
Bonus points if:
– You have experience with business case development.
– You have experience with requirements engineering.
– You have an awareness of product legislation.
