I have an exciting DevOps Engineer position partnered with an investment firm based in London, which operates leading quantitative investment strategies. Seasoned executives found the business with extensive experience in finance, blockchain, and technology who share a deep passion for Web3 and NFT technology. You will oversee their cloud-based trading infrastructure and develop tools to enhance and expedite research processes.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining the production trading infrastructure.
  • Automating real-time and batch jobs.
  • Providing ad-hoc and industry-standard development and testing tools to the development team.
  • Ensuring the security of all systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, such as server downtime, network connectivity problems, and software errors.
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or issues that could impact trading operations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Production experience with cloud technologies, ideally AWS. Certifications alone are not enough.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet is essential, as is a passion for automation.
  • Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub.
  • Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and familiarity with GitOps processes.
  • Experience in database administration, preferably Postgres and MySQL.
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks such as Prometheus and Grafana.
