As a Finance Administrator you’ll be part of a finance team where you’re treated as an individual, supported with training, and given room to progress. You’ll step into a well-defined Finance Administrator role from day one, with the chance to grow towards senior finance or wider roles over time.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day finance administration for a portfolio of businesses, from purchase and sales ledger through to monthly bank reconciliations.
- Keep cash flowing by managing credit control and arrears in a timely, methodical way, working to resolve issues professionally.
- Process supplier invoices and payments accurately through banking and management systems, ensuring everything is authorised and paid on time.
- Support the Finance Team Leader with budgets, year-end accounts and financial analysis for director meetings, including liaising with external accountants.
- Be a trusted contact for all stakeholders handling finance queries with patience, clarity and a confident telephone manner.
- Help refine and improve financial controls and data accuracy as the business grows, suggesting better ways of working where you see them.
What You'll Bring
- You have solid finance or bookkeeping experience, including bank reconciliations and purchase/sales ledger work.
- You use Microsoft Office confidently, especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- You take a methodical, organised approach with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, even when working to tight deadlines.
- You communicate clearly in writing and verbally, with a professional telephone manner and the confidence to speak with team members and directors alike.
- You are professional, reliable and collaborative, self-motivated and dependable, with a strong attendance record and a desire to build a long-term career.
