We manufacture components for the defense market as well for commercial markets such as power generation industries. Responsibilities:- Prepares bills of lading or dray tickets for each shipment.
- Checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
- Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments.
- Maintains other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets, dunnage, packing slips, etc.
- Verifies goods received by checking and counting all items unloaded.
- Checks suppliers' count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to purchasing office and receives in the system accurately.
- Collects information for damage claims on in-transit damage.
- Assists with maintaining in/outbound and priority reporting.
- Maintains a clean, organized work area to assure proper processing and efficiency.
- Complies with all quality, supply chain, safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
- Clean driving record.
- Must meet the requirements for a DOT Medical Card.
- Customer service focused.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
- Previous manufacturing shipping experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Excel, and Word (basic to intermediate), is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Pay: $20 per hour. This is a full‑time position.
