The Opportunity: Due to organisational growth, CPP are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Advisor in this brand new role as our Legal and Corporate function expands. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will provide exceptional support, governance, and expertise in procurement. As a senior member of the team, your responsibilities will include managing end-to-end category initiatives, leading Master Subcontract arrangements with key vendors, and where required, standardising procurement templates and Internal Procurement Guidelines and Frameworks. As the senior specialist, the Procurement Advisor will assist the Procurement Coordinators with vendor registration pre-qualifications, provide procurement advice during Bid Handover Meetings, and lead strategic procurement workshops. You’ll support BAU procurement, contribute to bids, and lead category initiatives—particularly across the transmission lines and electrical (HV) space.
Desired Skills and Experience: The role suits someone who enjoys a mix of strategic procurement, relationship management, problem solving and rolling up their sleeves to get things done. To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- 5–10 years’ experience in procurement, category management, or business partnering.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or Procurement training (CIPSA qualifications preferred).
- Highly Desirable: Experience in the utilities or renewable energy industry.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
