Job Summary
IT Manager – Consolidated Computer Services
Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum + bonus, PRP, pension contribution
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver an effective, secure and value‑adding IT service across the organisation.
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of 8 IT specialists and provide support to Functional Heads.
- Plan, deliver and manage IT infrastructure and cloud projects on time, within scope and budget.
- Maintain compliance with Cyber Essentials, GDPR and internal audit requirements.
- Oversee procurement, asset lifecycle management and IT budgeting (capital and P&L).
- Use training, knowledge sharing and best practice to empower staff in using IT resources.
- Resolve complex IT issues using structured problem‑solving and drive continuous improvement.
- Track, review and report IT performance through metrics/KPIs to inform decision‑making.
- Collaborate with the management team to support organizational performance.
Essential Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking, security, virtualisation, backups, cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra) and Active Directory.
- Proven experience in IT service management and IT service desk leadership.
- Demonstrable experience delivering end‑to‑end IT projects and managing project budgets.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable (will set candidates apart)
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or STEM.
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA/MCSE or role‑based).
- ITIL 4 certification.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cyber security certification.
- Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks.
- Vendor/contract/supplier management experience.
- Exposure to PLCs, IoT or manufacturing environments.
- Project management certification (Prince2, PMP, Agile).
