Job Summary

IT Manager – Consolidated Computer Services
Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum + bonus, PRP, pension contribution

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver an effective, secure and value‑adding IT service across the organisation.
  • Manage, motivate and develop a team of 8 IT specialists and provide support to Functional Heads.
  • Plan, deliver and manage IT infrastructure and cloud projects on time, within scope and budget.
  • Maintain compliance with Cyber Essentials, GDPR and internal audit requirements.
  • Oversee procurement, asset lifecycle management and IT budgeting (capital and P&L).
  • Use training, knowledge sharing and best practice to empower staff in using IT resources.
  • Resolve complex IT issues using structured problem‑solving and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track, review and report IT performance through metrics/KPIs to inform decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with the management team to support organizational performance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, networking, security, virtualisation, backups, cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra) and Active Directory.
  • Proven experience in IT service management and IT service desk leadership.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering end‑to‑end IT projects and managing project budgets.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable (will set candidates apart)

  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or STEM.
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA/MCSE or role‑based).
  • ITIL 4 certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cyber security certification.
  • Experience with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 or other compliance frameworks.
  • Vendor/contract/supplier management experience.
  • Exposure to PLCs, IoT or manufacturing environments.
  • Project management certification (Prince2, PMP, Agile).
