We are supporting a major client seeking to engage an experienced Collibra Data Governance Specialist to help expand and mature their enterprise data governance capability. This role is hands-on, with a strong focus on Collibra configuration, workflow design, and governance process implementation.

Role: Collibra Data Governance Specialist

Start: Mid-March

Location: UK (remote or hybrid depending on client requirements)

Engagement: Contract, 6-12 months with potential extensions

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customise, and administer the Collibra Data Governance platform
  • Set up domains, communities, operating models, workflows, and governance assets
  • Utilise Collibra features including Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Stewardship, and Policy Management
  • Design and implement data governance processes and workflows
  • Support data definitions, classification, metadata management, and lineage capture
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, architects, and business stakeholders
  • Promote adoption of governance standards, processes, and best practices
  • Produce documentation, guidance, and governance materials as required

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience configuring and setting up the Collibra Data Governance platform
  • Strong understanding of Collibra features, operating models, and workflow design
  • Experience across core data governance disciplines: Data definitions and glossary management, Metadata management, Data classification, Data lineage (business and technical)
  • Ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience designing governance workflows and processes
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in insurance or financial services
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, Solvency II, or BCBS 239, ACORD
  • Exposure to data quality, metadata, or cataloguing tools
  • Understanding of data architecture or data management practices
