Our client is seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to manage strategic procurement activities across building and construction services within a large-scale international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for Building & Construction categories.
- Lead national and international procurement projects and competitive tender processes.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and commercial relationships.
- Establish and manage framework agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
- Identify savings opportunities through demand management, specification optimisation, and volume aggregation.
- Lead cross-functional teams and support business case, benchmarking, and make-or-buy analysis.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with established processes, contractual requirements, and governance.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement, operations, or facilities management.
- Strong Building & Construction procurement experience.
- Experience developing procurement strategies and managing building projects.
- Advanced negotiation, project management, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of building procurement contracts.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent English communication skills; additional European languages are advantageous.
