Plant Engineering Manager Advanced Aerospace & Energy Sectors – heavy industry Package: £ negotiable + includes large company benefits Forming part of one of the world’s leading industrial groups, this specialist engineering division operates at the cutting-edge of technical design and expertise in the manufacture of high-grade forgings to the Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace and Petrochem sectors. Reporting to the Operations Director, provide a range of innovative technical solutions to overcome manufacturing problems. Achieved either via the design or modification of existing equipment, or the specification and installation of suitable heavy plant and equipment. Manage the engineering effort to ensure delivery of projects on time and to budget. Ensure all in-house designed projects comply fully with regulatory authorities and relevant codes. Support and drive the culture of continuous improvement in terms of Cost Efficiency, Quality, and Health & Safety while adopting industry best practice. Degree level or equivalent in Engineering coupled with relevant experience in heavy engineering industry, with a mechanical engineering bias. Knowledge of CAD design and interpretation of engineering drawings. Knowledge of UK and International engineering standards.
