A market leading British Engineering Company supplying high technology products to some of the most prestigious brands in the automotive sector are looking for an experienced Metrology Technician (night shift) due to an influx of exciting new projects. You will have experience in visual inspection and metrology.

Commutable from: Bicester, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Towcester, Aylesbury, Oxford, Banbury, Northampton, Dunstable

Salary: £29,260 p.a. (inclusive of Shift Premium - night shift) + 9% pension + 33 days holiday

The Role:

  • Executing part programs using 3D scanning software to inspect highly complex parts
  • Scanning of 1st and last off moulded parts
  • Creating report models, ISIRs and capability studies
  • Ensuring best practices are adopted in all dimensional activity
  • Working a set night shift pattern Monday to Friday

The Person:

  • An experienced Metrology Technician / CMM Operator
  • Competent in the use of hand-measuring tools such as digital callipers, micrometres and other inspection equipment
  • With previous experience in metrology using Faro Arms or CMM equipment for inspection of parts off the manufacturing line
  • Computer literate with the ability to use/learn latest Polyworks software and programs
  • Good understanding of Office/Excel
  • Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and GD&T
