A leading manufacturer of specialist construction materials and products is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to join their engineering team based in Birmingham. The role is on a day’s hours basis, working Monday to Friday.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Redditch, Warwick, Tamworth

Salary: Excellent Salary + Great suite of benefits including Pension, Annual Leave, Overtime.

The Role

The Maintenance Support Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the sites ancillary facilities and associated equipment are managed and maintained in an appropriate manner in alignment with the maintenance plan and required legislation.

This role includes both hands-on manual preventative maintenance activities in addition to organising, controlling, and documenting work with external groups, suppliers, agents, and contractors.

The Maintenance Support Technician will be responsible for the updating and recording of tasks and data including specifically, those associated with boiler management. In this role, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining the boilers, pumps and water management systems for the site alongside maintaining accurate records for the boiler and water system maintenance and upkeep.

The Person

The successful candidate will have large manufacturing or processing plant experience and be well versed in maintaining boilers, pumps, lubrication systems and water systems including both maintenance and record-keeping.

The Maintenance Support Technician will work alongside the maintenance and engineering teams to support general maintenance concerns typically with a mechanical focus.
