This growing organisation and distributor of a wide variety of fastener products require a highly motivated Lead Buyer to work within its expanding Sourcing department. You will work with suppliers, negotiating terms, prices, quality and develop pricelists as well as updating the ERP system. The ideal candidate will have Buying experience within the Fasteners sector and have worked with a global Supply Chain.
The Role
- Reporting into the Sourcing Director your responsibilities will include developing and driving performance with suppliers, and negotiating the correct quality, delivery timescales, cost and payment terms.
- Working within the group framework and strategy you will identify cost savings with new and existing suppliers in this fast-paced environment.
The Person
- You will have previous fastener experience gained from within a purchasing/buying/sourcing department and be driven to make a difference in this newly created position.
- Experience in dealing with UK and global suppliers, negotiation of terms and cost savings is ideal.
