Are you a skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician looking for a new challenge? Consilium Recruit are supporting a global vehicle manufacturer’s UK retail and service operations. As an HGV Technician, you will play a crucial role in keeping vehicles in top condition, ensuring the safety and reliability of all work conducted in the workshops.

Commutable from: Heathrow, Reading, Croydon, Farnborough

Salary: £ Negotiable per hour + Paid Overtime x 1.3 + Private Medical + 5% Employer Pension

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will be flexible to support a rotating shift pattern of morning and afternoon shifts with some flexibility required to work additional hours during busy periods.
  • You will conduct routine maintenance and inspections of all HGVs and diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • You will complete service records and reports accurately and on time and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • You will provide excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, working both independently and as part of a team.

The Person:

  • The successful candidate will possess a proven background in repairing and maintaining commercial vehicles in a workshop environment.
  • Ideally, you will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
  • It is essential that you hold a full UK driving license, with HGV level preferred.
  • You will have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, be able to work in a safe and methodical manner, and be passionate about providing great service to vehicles in either a repair or planned maintenance capacity.
