An established and highly successful manufacturer of high-volume FMCG products seeks an established and proven Engineering Manager to join their Swindon manufacturing facility. Forming a key member of the senior management team with overall responsibility for Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities, you will prove instrumental in driving plant performance plus supporting capital projects across the plant.

The role would ideally suit someone from a volume/continuous manufacturing environment with a proven understanding of modern manufacturing methodologies where automated processes exist alongside manual operations. FMCG sector experience not essential, although a strong track record of managing an agile and close-knit team of mainly maintenance and engineering to ensure both planned and reactive maintenance and commissioning works are delivered effectively and safely within a complex manufacturing/processing environment.

The environment is one of growth and development with an emphasis on manufacturing efficiency and best practice. Accordingly, you will be an accomplished Engineering Manager with a strong Maintenance bias gained within a complex 24 hr manufacturing operation with the ability to develop improved systems and processes in line with new capex investment. An acute awareness of best practice and champion positive behaviours in health, safety and environmental across all areas of the business with demonstrable leadership skills in supporting, motivating, and leading a successful and proactive team.

The Engineering Manager will present a sound knowledge of engineering best practices with the ability to integrate modern lean tools and analytical methods into their work in the pursuit of best in class efficiency and productivity.
