Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting the R&D division of a privately owned international business. They are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their rapidly expanding electrical engineering team. This is a permanent role with a requirement for some international travel. Commutable from:  Basildon, Brentwood, Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, London  Salary:  Negotiable based on experience + Excellent Benefits including Pension, Healthcare and Bonus The Role  The Electrical Design Engineer will own the electrical design of the product and review and approve electrical designs to ensure compliance with the required standards. You will produce and update CAD drawings, diagrams, schematics, and layout plans for the work. The Electrical Design Engineer will play an active role in electrical component selection and to ensure optimal performance and consult closely with the engineering and manufacturing team stakeholders. Key functions of the role include designing electrical systems and harness solutions including instrumentation and assembly designs as part of the wider scope of electrical design content required. The Person   The successful candidate for the Electrical Design Engineer approach will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and possess proven work experience in designing electrical systems for complex projects. You will be proficient in using electrical design software and be well versed in designing schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and overall system design. The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally possess a background in engine development / fuel systems / marine engineer development and be well versed in the various regulations governing electrical and electronic engineering. Any experience with hydrogen or other alternative fuel systems is highly valued for the role in addition.
