Due to rapid expansion this global advanced electrification and battery energy storage technology company seeks a Battery Modelling Engineer developing Multiphysics models accelerating cell designs and development. Salary to c£58,000 p.a. Negotiable dependant on experience + benefits Location: Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire Suitable for: Battery Modelling Engineer, Cell Development, Cell Modelling, Battery Development, Battery Engineer, Battery Simulation The Role * To develop cell models, predict performance and degradation, ensure models are thoroughly validated, and work closely with electrochemists to ensure cell designs are optimised before build and testing. * Responsible for Multiphysics modelling of cells, including electrochemical, mechanical, thermal and electrical behavior * Predict performance and degradation of cells prior to build and long term testing * Develop validation strategies to show the effectiveness of our models * Provide feedback and guidance to the cell design and development team to optimise cell performance as part of each cell iteration * Work closely with the cell development team to ensure the correct tests are performed on cells to obtain accurate cell parameters and validation sets * Document and present results, with conclusions and recommendations The Person * An engineering degree in a relevant field * Experience with cell/battery modelling software. * Proficiency in Python programming * The ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment * The ability to prepare technical reports for dissemination throughout the company, making recommendations for technical progression * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills To apply or for more details contact Adrian Elwell
