This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation, as they seek to appoint one of two newly created positions within its Sourcing Department. This role is for an Advanced Buyer whose responsibility will be to handle Request for Quotations (RFQ) and select partners from a world class supplier base.
The ideal candidate will be driven and highly motivated and have extensive Engineering and Technical knowledge, ideally from a fastener, consumables or assemblies environment.
Reporting into the Sourcing Director your responsibility as an Advanced Buyer will be to assist the Sales Team in order to provide technical knowledge and guidance on a range of products when dealing with RFQs. You will maintain, develop and update the local and global supplier base, whilst proactively identifying opportunities for value enhancement and cost savings.
You will be technically and commercially astute and have a good knowledge and understanding of engineering products, engineering drawings and manufacturing processes. The Advanced Buyer role is a brand-new position, so will give the chosen candidate an opportunity to make a positive impact within the business and provide scope to progress within the organisation.
