Role Summary

You will support the team on their wholesale business. This is a busy environment where you will be dealing with a wide range of clients and producers and looking at their insurance requirements.

Role Accountabilities

  • You will be accountable for assisting the producing brokers with endorsements, amendments, and closings into the Lloyd’s and Company markets.
  • You will be accountable for broker backup duties to the team which will include the production of endorsements, technical documentation, and MRC slips.
  • You will be accountable for maintaining broker and client files.
  • To negotiate the finest possible terms and conditions for our clients, using appropriate knowledge, expertise, and market presence for the desired cover.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure that all new and renewal business, mid-term amendments, and general enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop strong and long-term relationships with clients and markets, always looking at ways to improve this relationship.
  • Usage of departmental mandatory documentation such as market sheets and checklists and adherence to departmental procedures.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

  • Experience dealing with risk placements will enable you to oversee the administration.
  • Ideally 5 years insurance experience in a similar role.

Skills and Abilities

  • You will be a knowledgeable user of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Aptitude to work under pressure to tight time frames.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills and can build and maintain professional relationships, including being able to maintain contact with clients and Underwriters.
