Overview

Our recruitment team play a vital part in attracting and securing the best legal professionals for our team, whether it’s qualified lawyers, paralegals or legal operations professionals. You’ll have a pivotal role representing LOD with those groups as their first point of contact but also in maintaining our relationships with them for the long term.

This is a hybrid role based in our London office.

Responsibilities

  • Screening: Taking a lead in speaking with lawyers who want to know more or want to apply to join LOD. Helping to select the best people for our short term and long term needs while responsibly managing the expectations of lawyers who we may not be able to help immediately.
  • Application processing: Working with the team to ensure applications are processed quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards when dealing with potential joiners. We use technology to support us heavily in our recruitment and onboarding so you’ll be using our award-winning platform myLOD to help with this process.
  • Managing talent pools: Proactively managing existing talent pools and working with the recruitment and engagement management teams to ensure we have a strong understanding of the experience, availability, and fit of those lawyers for live assignments. You’ll play a key role in giving teams across the business visibility of who we have available and keeping the lawyers updated on opportunities they’re being considered for. You’ll also take the lead on growing pools of lawyers in areas that are growing, such as banking & finance and compliance.
  • Recruitment advertising: Writing detailed, creative and informative advertising to sell LOD as a concept as well as to attract specific lawyers for current and future needs. Proactively sourcing LODs on Linkedin using a fully provisioned recruiter licence.
  • Strategic projects: Leading or supporting on strategic recruitment projects such as marketing and advertising campaigns, reengagement initiatives and developing new talent pipelines. Also continually reviewing and refining the LOD recruitment process and systems that support it.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

In addition to the general attributes noted above, our ideal candidate for this role will also:

  • Be educated to at least degree level or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • 2 – 4 years of legal recruitment experience
  • Have the ability to quickly gain credibility and respect from highly qualified professionals
  • Ideally have some understanding of the legal or other professional services sector
  • Be experienced in engaging with technology, the internet, and social media in a business context
  • Experienced with Linkedin (particularly Recruiter) is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong team player with a sense of ownership and initiative to drive things forward
  • Be creative and open-minded yet not afraid of using data and processes
