We’re looking for a mid-level Capital Markets lawyer to support our client, a large insurance company, for 12 months. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure at a publicly traded company with access to top quality in-house work.

Your role will include:

  • Providing day to day legal support to the Liquid Trading Desk
  • Reviewing legal documentation for liquid public bonds, US-style private placements, and other fixed income instruments
  • Supporting legal analysis of new investments and ongoing portfolio management activities
  • Conducting Matching Adjustment (MA) Reviews and assessing eligibility on proposed bond investments, as well as interpreting terms and conditions against MA regulatory requirements
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating bond agreements and other fixed income-related documentation
  • Assessing legal risks associated with debt issuance, including consent solicitations, bond buybacks, and changes to terms

Ideally you’ll be 4-8 years’ PQE with strong Capital Markets experience from private practice. Experience within financial services would be beneficial. This assignment will be full time, with some time on the Central London office. This assignment is due to start in September/October.
