The Director of Marketing UK/ Europe reports to the global Vice President and is responsible for leading marketing for LOD and Consilio across the UK and Europe. The role includes but is not limited to marketing strategy, senior stakeholder collaboration and leadership, revenue-focused marketing performance and optimisation, brand growth, budget ownership, and team management and development. For Consilio, demonstrate expertise in B2B marketing to best meet corporate and law firm client needs; for LOD, bring a mix of B2B and B2C marketing experience as the business acquires and retains both Corporate clients and individual lawyers.
This is a hybrid role based in our London office.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Create marketing strategies for LOD and Consilio to support business objectives, drive revenue, and facilitate a high performing marketing function
- Operate with a clear strategic vision, using it as a compass to embed marketing best practice and a high performing team
- Devise strategic campaigns to effectively meet specific areas of business need or focus, i.e. product launches or new market opportunities
- Lead strategic positioning initiatives from initial research to execution of market-facing materials
- Create channel strategies, i.e. content or events, to reinforce the overarching marketing strategies
- Tailor global marketing strategies and outputs to meet regional needs. Equally, use regional presence and market strength to support broader global initiatives.
Senior Leadership
- Partner with senior business leaders within region, collaborating to ensure marketing delivers in support of their objectives
- Manage senior stakeholders across business units to coalesce diverse view points and varied needs into unified marketing outputs
- Advocate for regional requirements with global marketing leadership and across the global marketing team
- Operate strategically and commercially to successfully manage the expectations of a multitude of regional and global leaders
- Oversee the work of two Marketing Managers, their performance, and their career development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within global marketing to drive initiatives to completion across functions
Performance
- Deliver positive ROI across the full mix of marketing channels
- Oversee cross-functional marketing teams to optimise performance by channel
- Use marketing as an effective tool to drive website traffic, acquire and retain new clients and lawyers, boost brand awareness, and uplift engagement
- Confidently leverage data and analytics to inform decisions and improve campaign effectiveness
Brand
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, identity, and creative execution across all on and offline channels
- Grow and maintain the strength of the brand as a solid foundation for all marketing activity
- Protect and defend the brand in all initiatives across a range of channels
Budget and Reporting
- Own the marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources
- Report on KPIs, campaign performance, and strategic outcomes to senior leadership
- Manage agency relationships, event relationship, and other external partners
Qualifications
- At least 10β12 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably with a proven track record in legal services/ staffing and or legal tech
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing, especially tailored to corporate clients and law firms
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies/ campaigns, preferably across the UK and European markets
- Must have experience working with websites and localizing promotional copy for Germany and France (no need to speak the language but need to know how to manage the process)
- Experience in revenue-focused marketing including performance tracking, data analysis, and funnel optimization
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience in using data to inform strategy and optimize campaigns
- Ownership of marketing budgets, with a focus on cost-efficiency and strategic investment
- Skilled in brand positioning and growth in competitive B2B environments
- Strong ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership, sales, and product teams
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing marketing teams
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences
- Experience with SaaS solutions strongly preferred
- Experience with Salesforce and Marketo desirable
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field desirable
