Assistant Bar Manager.
We're seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to work alongside our General Manager. Situated in the vibrant heart of Shoreditch, East London, we're an independent venue known for our creative programming, vinyl sessions, comedy nights and spoken word performances..
We have a low turnover rate, and former staff still come back as loyal customers. Our sales split is 50% draught beer, 30% cocktails, 20% wine and spirits. Reflecting the diverse spirit of London, we're a multicultural, multi-ethnic and LGBTQ+ friendly space..
What you'll need.
- Minimum 2 year experience in a bar or venue role.
- Confident cocktail knowledge.
- Comfortable working with an EPOS and stock system.
Nice to have.
- Personal licence — not essential, we'll fund your training and cover the cost if you don't have one.
- Setting up vinyl DJ decks and audio equipment.
What you'll do.
Reporting to and supporting the General Manager, you'll:
- Monitor the inbox and handle booking enquiries.
- Reply to messages and comments on social media.
- Run opening and closing procedures, and check they've been completed correctly.
- Supervise bar and floor staff on shift.
- Deliver day-to-day training to the team.
- Place supplier orders and input them into the system.
- Carry out regular stock takes
