POSITION SUMMARY – This position is based in Arlington-VA, Brussels (hybrid), UK (remote) France (remote), or Germany (remote)
Conservation International is seeking a strong leader to lead the Corporate Partnerships team, coordinate and expand its global corporate partnership portfolio, and ease the transition into the Global Resources Mobilization department. This role will be responsible for leading a high-performing team managing the existing corporate relationships, managing and growing the corporate pipeline, and driving new business development opportunities.
The position will lead on building the systems needed for growth – systematic partnership stewardship, active pipeline management, and development of a CI-wide corporate strategy to generate growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, cross-functional collaboration, corporate partnership engagement and development, with the ability to structure, nurture, and grow key accounts while simultaneously developing and executing a business development strategy to attract and secure new corporate partnerships.
Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, guide, and develop a high-performing corporate partnerships team, driving a culture of collaboration, accountability, and trust.
• Partnership Management: Build a world-class corporate partnership management framework that allows for long-term value creation. Actively manage and coordinate corporate pipeline with the team and manage due diligence.
• Corporate Strategy: Lead the development of a CI-wide corporate strategy that helps CI on focusing where CI is competitive.
• Support CI’s Strategic Priorities: Work with the field management units and global programs to develop and execute corporate revenue-generating strategies and relationships for CI’s major projects, including collaborating closely with Nature Finance in the design and implementation of innovative financing mechanisms for nature and climate with corporate support.
• Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue new corporate revenue opportunities globally from existing and new corporate partners, with a focus on increasing unrestricted revenue and cultivating deep corporate relationships.
• Business Development: Lead the team in creating a comprehensive outreach strategy for high-potential corporate targets that align with CI’s vision and values and support CI\’s strategic priorities. Lead team to bigger asks and define tailored solutions and proposals that resonate with prospective partners.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS

• The position will require international travel.
• The position requires the ability to work non-traditional and extended hours to support a global workforce in multiple time zones.

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in corporate partnerships & proven track record of business development.
• 5 or more years in a leadership role, ideally with experience in nature and/or climate.
• A demonstrated ability to create and execute partnership strategies that drive revenue, impact, and long-term value.
• Track record in resource generation ideally from private sector partners.
• Extensive experience and exceptional ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers within partner organizations, and build deep long-term relationships across multiple levels of organizations.
• Track record of managing account management systems and pipeline management
• Familiarity with CRM software and partnership management tools.
• Experience developing organization-wide strategies and creating buy-in from other divisions
• Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and business models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive value propositions, tell powerful stories, and deliver clear and compelling proposals.
• Experience working across organizational functions and teams to deliver integrated partnership solutions.
