Your Role
The people living at The Rivers enjoy a creative, fun, and social environment with plenty of support from their team to live an independent, healthy and very happy life. Everyone is engaged with their own care choices and take part in regular meetings not only to develop their care plan, but to have their say in what goes on in their home and what they want to achieve. Some of the individuals attend a local colleges and adult education centres, find work opportunities and get involved with social clubs in their community. No two days are the same, as a Support Worker, you'll:
- Support people with everyday life, including personal care where required, while promoting choice, dignity and independence.
- Help people enjoy activities, hobbies and opportunities within their local community.
- Build positive relationships and communicate in ways that meet each person's individual needs.
- Encourage people to achieve their goals, develop new skills and enjoy meaningful experiences.
- Help keep people safe by following support plans, risk assessments and agreed ways of working.
- Work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
- Shifts: Rotational including early, late and weekend, 37.5 hours per week.
