Primary Role
At Conscious, marketing is about understanding law firms and building awareness about how our products/services can satisfy their needs and planning campaigns to sell specific services to specific segments of the legal market. This role is a combination of management and âdoingâ, so you will need to be happy rolling your sleeves up and getting involved. Weâre looking for an experienced and versatile marketer who is eager to take on a new challenge. Agency or professional services marketers will definitely have an edge applying for this role. Our ideal candidate has experience developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring a team of two. You will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities, planning and executing tactical campaigns and, in conjunction with the Managing Director, setting long-term strategy. But you must be a âdoerâ as well as a âmanagerâ and âstrategistâ. You are likely to thrive on tight deadlines and changing needs and be able to âscrambleâ when necessary. If you are a people-person who loves the rewarding challenge of building a strong brand, we want to hear from you.
Objectives of this Role
- Establish positioning, identify target audiences within the legal sector, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration.
- Analyse customer insights, legal sector trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
- Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Working in partnership with our Head of Design to develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including events, print, digital, and video assets.
- Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels.
- Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establishing budget guidelines, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional sales support.
- Gather customer and legal market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads.
- Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis via our CRM system.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree/CIM qualification in marketing, business, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (there will be a proofâreading test).
- Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns; in conjunction with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for planning our c. ÂŁ100k per annum marketing budget.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decisionâmaking skills.
- Metricsâdriven marketing mind with an eye for creativity.
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (preferably Mailchimp, LeadInfo, and SuiteCRM).
- If you canât do a decent pivot table in Excel, learn before you interview with us!
Required Skills
- Strong written, verbal communication and attention to detail (proofâreading assessment required).
- Minimum of two yearsâ experience in people management in marketing (you will have two direct reports).
- Understanding of different digital marketing and web development practices.
- Excellent organisational skills: project and time management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a calm manner.
- The ability to quickly learn the different tools we use (e.g., ClickUp, Slack, SuiteCRM, Mailchimp, Canva).
- Manage change as it materialises throughout a project.
- Have the ability to identify potential issues/risks and manage them accordingly.
- Problemâsolving/troubleshooting skills.
- A good understanding of Excel, particularly VLOOKUP.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines.
- Managing other team members (upwards, downwards, and sideways). Delegating work and ensuring it is delivered correctly and on time with great people management skills.
- Event management and the ability to travel to help manage our presence at events from time to time.
Desirable but not necessarily essential:
- Knowledge of WordPress or similar Content Management Systems.
