The Role

We are looking for a dependable and detail‑driven Accounts Assistant with demonstrable hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have solid exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank postings, expenses, and will have assisted with month‑end processes within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. Experience within an IT services or professional services setting is advantageous.

Requirements

  • Essential
    • Demonstrable experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance support role
    • Hands-on experience in AR, AP, bank processing, and expense management
    • Experience assisting with month-end processes
    • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
    • Good Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
    • Effective communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines
    • Proactive and eager to learn
    • Reliable, organised, and committed to accuracy
    • Strong problem-solving ability
    • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Nice to have
    • Experience working in an IT services, managed services, or professional services environment
    • Knowledge of PSA or ERP systems (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, NetSuite, Sage, Xero)
    • Working towards AAT or interested in commencing finance qualifications
