The Role

We are looking for a dependable and detail‑driven Accounts Assistant with demonstrable hands‑on experience in day‑to‑day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have solid exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank postings, expenses, and will have assisted with month‑end processes within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities - What YOU will be doing at Conscia

Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Raise client invoices in accordance with contracts and billing schedules; maintain accurate AR ledgers and support cash allocation
    • Monitor aged debt and support credit control activities
    • Resolve customer queries and billing discrepancies
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accurately process purchase invoices and ensure correct coding and approvals
    • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
    • Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
    • Maintain AP records in line with internal controls
  • Banking & Cash Management
    • Complete daily bank reconciliations
    • Post cash receipts, payments, direct debits, and merchant transactions
    • Assist with monitoring cashflow and supporting treasury tasks
  • Expenses & Employee Reimbursements
    • Review and process staff expenses in accordance with company policy
    • Prepare reimbursement runs and ensure correct ledger postings
  • Month‑End Support
    • Assist with preparing and posting journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
    • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts
    • Provide accurate supporting documentation for review by senior finance staff
    • Help improve the efficiency and accuracy of the month‑end process
  • General Finance Support
    • Maintain well‑organised and accurate financial records
    • Provide data and documentation for internal/external audits
    • Support process improvements across the finance function
    • Undertake ad‑hoc analysis and administrative tasks as required
