Housekeeping Supervisor in London

Conrad London St James is in the centre of London and one of Hilton's three Luxury Brands reflecting modern luxury. Located in the heart of Westminster, the new outlets within the hotel will offer its teams the opportunity to join one of this year's most exciting new and promising openings, with the support, standards and luxury service the Conrad is famous for. They will consist of:

• The Blue Boar Pub, opened May 2021, which is a contemporary take on a British pub
• The Hedgerow, the hotel’s first cocktail bar, which takes inspiration from the beauty of the traditional British countryside
• The Pem, a glamourous and elegant restaurant in the centre of the hotel showcasing classic British cuisine using modern techniques
• The Orchard, for afternoon teas and lighter meals

What will I be doing?

• Support Manager in assigning the work of Room Attendants and Linen Porters and assist the Housekeeping employees by jumping in and cleaning as needed.
• Check and maintain adequate level of supplies and material and request replenishment of supplies as required.
• Work with Front Desk and Maintenance Departments regarding the status of rooms and common areas ensuring that guest requirements are met according to Hotel policy.
• Assist the Housekeeper Manager in the daily checking of guest rooms and designated staff areas, public areas maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ensure guest lost items are secured and policies followed.
• Ensure prompt email communication with other departments.
• Assist with team member orientation and training within the department.
• Attend meetings as requested and contribute new ideas to the overall success of the operation.
• Inspire the team to achieve high standards of work and guest care.
• Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all room categories and amenities.
• Ensure all guest comments and feedback are acknowledged and followed up promptly.
• Carry out Room Attendant and House Attendant duties when required.

What are we looking for?

• Housekeeping experience in the hotel/leisure/retail sector in a supervisory capacity.
• Available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Familiar with Property Management Systems.
