Conrad Energy is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Analyst to support our regulatory compliance and governance activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to develop expertise in the UK energy market. You will work closely with senior colleagues across Compliance, Trading, Pricing, and Operations to help ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations and responds effectively to industry changes. You will play a key role in coordinating regulatory submissions, maintaining compliance records, and supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance and Submissions: Support the coordination and submission of regulatory returns, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met; maintain and update the regulatory submissions tracker; assist in responding to Requests for Information (RFIs) from regulators and industry bodies; help ensure accurate record-keeping and audit trails for all compliance activities.
- Regulatory Monitoring and Support: Monitor regulatory updates, industry code changes, and consultations; summarise key changes and support the assessment of business impact; assist in preparing internal communications and guidance on regulatory requirements; support the development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
- Industry Codes and Market Compliance: Develop an understanding of key UK electricity market frameworks, including BSC, CUSC, Grid Code, Ofgem licence conditions; support teams in meeting their obligations under industry codes and internal policies; assist with ensuring compliance with accreditations and regulatory requirements.
- Governance and Assurance: Support compliance monitoring activities and internal reviews; track and follow up on actions arising from audits or compliance checks; assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Stakeholder Support: Work collaboratively with teams across Trading, Pricing, Operations, and Finance; provide day-to-day support and guidance on compliance processes; escalate potential risks or issues to senior members of the team.
Essential About You:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or analytical role (energy sector desirable but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable:
- Some knowledge of the UK energy market or regulated industries.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting, compliance processes, or audit activities.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. business, economics, energy, law).
