Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially aware engineer to play a key role in delivering a diverse portfolio of building projects from initial concept through to construction.
Working across a broad range of sectors, the role offers the chance to influence projects from feasibility studies and detailed design through to completion while ensuring solutions are practical, efficient and fully compliant with current standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and assessing a variety of structural forms, including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, timber and hybrid structures, using industry-leading software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis or similar. They will oversee the preparation and checking of drawings and technical documentation, carry out structural surveys and reports for existing buildings, and ensure all work complies with British Standards, Eurocodes and recognised industry guidance.
Alongside technical delivery, the role involves acting as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors and local authorities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing project programmes, budgets and technical submissions. The successful engineer will also contribute to fee proposals, support business development activities and play an active role in maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety and compliance, including responsibilities under CDM 2015.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected consultancy offering a varied workload, genuine career progression and the chance to make a real impact within an ambitious and expanding business.
