The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our established and expanding commercial team. Reporting directly to the Managing Surveyor, the Quantity Surveyor will take full commercial responsibility for up to six live projects, predominantly within the new-build residential sector, along with associated groundworks and civil engineering packages. Based from our Bellshill office, the Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring strong cost control, accurate reporting and the successful commercial delivery of projects from inception through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submission of monthly valuations and applications for payment
- Production of bi-monthly cost reports and CVRs
- Carrying out material reconciliations and cost analysis
- Procurement, management and payment of subcontractor packages
- Assessment, agreement and settlement of final accounts
- Liaison with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors to support commercial performance
- Assisting with variations, change control and commercial risk management
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering
- Strong understanding of new-build housing projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confident managing multiple live projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
