Overview
In this Civil Infrastructure Engineer role, you will join a Nottingham-based Transport & Infrastructure team within an established civil engineering consultancy to deliver design work across roads, drainage and external works. You will manage multiple projects from planning through to completion, coordinating with planning authorities, statutory bodies and clients to provide value-for-money solutions. You will apply flood risk and drainage concepts, including SUDS, and perform hydraulic modelling to support robust designs. The position offers progression, exposure to diverse UK projects, and a chance to contribute to impactful, multidisciplinary engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Preliminary and detailed design of roads, levels, drainage, and external works (public and private)
- Liaise with planning authorities, statutory bodies, and national organisations
- Perform Flood Risk Assessments, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, and hydraulic modelling
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary project teams from planning to completion
- Support development and delivery of complex infrastructure projects
Key requirements
- Proficient using Flow or InfoDrainage
- Experience liaising with planning authorities and statutory bodies
- Knowledge of Flood Risk Assessments, SUDS, drainage design, and hydraulic modelling
- Understanding of multi-disciplinary project workflows
