As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be embedded across a varied portfolio of contractor-led infrastructure works, providing both traditional commercial management and broader strategic support across live and pre-construction projects. You will have involvement in:

  • Cost planning and budget control
  • Applications, valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Commercial reporting and forecasting
  • Subcontract procurement and account management
  • Contract administration under NEC / JCT forms
  • Risk management and value recovery
  • Change management and commercial problem solving
  • Supporting claims, delays and dispute-related matters

This role offers far more variety than a standard project-based QS position, with the chance to work alongside highly experienced commercial professionals on technically challenging assignments nationwide.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This isn't a business where you'll be treated like a number. You'll be joining a collaborative and people-focused environment that genuinely invests in development, supports further education and professional recognition, and gives each Quantity Surveyor the autonomy to make commercial decisions that matter.

Expect:

  • Hybrid flexibility with home, office and client-based working
  • Exposure to major UK infrastructure projects
  • Strong mentoring from senior commercial specialists
  • Fully supported CPD and further qualifications
  • Long-term progression into senior commercial roles
  • A dynamic culture built around ambition, personality and teamwork

About You

We're looking for a driven Quantity Surveyor with the confidence to manage core commercial responsibilities while also embracing the broader strategic and problem-solving side of consultancy services. You will ideally have:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Previous experience within infrastructure, civils, utilities, rail or contractor-led construction
  • Strong NEC or JCT contractual knowledge
  • Experience with subcontractor accounts, valuations and cost reporting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A motivated, solutions-led and ambitious approach

Candidates looking to move from contractor environments into a more diverse consultancy setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
