A well-established, award-winning Architectural Practice is looking to appoint a Senior Architect with fantastic design ability to join their talented team based in Milton Keynes. The successful Senior Architect will assist in the continued growth and profitability of the practice which employs 60+ staff across five national offices. The firm has been accredited to an Investors in People (IIP) Gold standard, rated as the second-highest scoring architecture practice on the IIP international database. They also have a truly varied and diverse portfolio of project work that is both challenging and design focused - in areas such as Education, Commercial & Industrial, Healthcare, Leisure & Arts, Residential and Sports / Recreational spaces.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Architect:
- Management of day-to-day delivery of projects, working in collaboration with the team.
- Production of planning and construction drawing packages - drawings, schedules and specifications.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and internal team.
- Attend regular CPD events and stay up-to-date with technical and legislative developments in the industry.
- Assist with, and where appropriate, lead on bids.
- Undertake 3rd party technical checks and contribute to design reviews on projects you are not directly responsible for delivering.
- Provide a point of contact for day-to-day questions and queries from the team.
Senior Architect Qualifications and Experience:
- ARB/RIBA Chartered Architect.
- Minimum 5 years of UK industry experience.
- Strong capabilities across RIBA stages 0-7 - solid skills within the early design stages will be particularly sought after.
- Demonstrable team management ability.
- Extensive experience in preparing planning and working drawing construction packages and good knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policy and quality standards.
