This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with 1-2 years' post-qualification experience, or equivalent experience within the profession, to develop their career across a varied portfolio of clients and projects. The role offers excellent exposure to both professional and project-based building surveying, with particular opportunities across the housing, transport and education sectors. The RoleAs a Building Surveyor, you will be involved in a broad range of work, including: Undertaking condition, dilapidation and DDA/accessibility surveysActing as Contract Administrator on building surveying commissionsPreparing specifications, schedules and drawingsProviding technical advice and design solutionsProducing professional reports for clientsAdvising on building pathology and remedial solutionsSupporting Party Wall, dilapidations and other specialist surveying workManaging and monitoring project financial performanceLiaising with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholdersSupporting the management of client workloads and framework agreementsIdentifying opportunities to develop existing client relationships and generate new workSupporting junior members of the team with technical queriesWhat We're Looking ForThe successful candidate will ideally have: A BSc in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related disciplineAround 1-2 years' PQE or equivalent relevant building surveying experienceExperience across professional building surveying servicesKnowledge of building pathology and technical surveyingExperience with contract administration and specification writingStrong communication and report-writing skillsThe confidence to deal with clients and challenging situationsA collaborative approach and willingness to support colleaguesAmbition to progress towards MRICS / Chartered Building Surveyor status
