Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a talented Principal Civil Engineer to help lead the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical developments.This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team focused exclusively on data centres, working on technically challenging projects from initial site planning through to detailed design and construction support.The successful candidate will lead the civil engineering design of complex developments, taking responsibility for external site layouts that maximise capacity, accessibility and operational efficiency. You will oversee the design and coordination of underground infrastructure, including drainage, utilities, fuel systems and service routes, while delivering site infrastructure solutions covering roads, hardstanding, security perimeters and landscaping. The role will also involve interpreting ground investigation data and developing practical foundation strategies in collaboration with structural engineering teams.As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, manage multidisciplinary project teams, mentor junior engineers and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Applicants should be degree qualified in Civil Engineering and have significant UK consultancy experience delivering infrastructure design projects. Strong expertise in highways, drainage and external works is essential, together with experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
