We are currently working with a well-established, dynamic property consultancy seeking a talented and motivated Building Surveyor to join their team in their central London office. Key Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:

  • Conduct thorough building inspections, identifying and assessing the condition of structures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend solutions for any identified issues or defects.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, health and safety standards, and regulations.
  • Provide advice on repairs, maintenance, and improvements for both residential and commercial properties.
  • Assist in managing the design and implementation of building projects.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements of the Building Surveyor:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years practical experience working within another building consultancy role.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and health and safety standards.
  • Experience in surveying commercial or retail properties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
