Senior Estimator - Aberdeen Senior Estimator Location: Aberdeen Job Type: Full-Time An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects throughout Scotland. The successful Senior Estimator will lead the estimating function, producing accurate and commercially competitive tenders while working closely with operational and commercial teams. This Senior Estimator position offers involvement in major civil engineering projects and excellent career progression. The successful Senior Estimator will manage the full tender process from enquiry through to submission. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed civil engineering estimates. Review drawings, specifications and NEC contracts. Produce accurate take-offs. Build first-principle estimates. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor quotations. Develop tender clarifications and exclusions. Support value engineering opportunities. Identify commercial risks and opportunities. Lead tender handovers following project award. Maintain estimating databases. Mentor junior estimators. Requirements Proven estimating experience within civil engineering. Experience pricing earthworks, drainage, highways, structures or utilities. Good understanding of NEC contracts. Excellent commercial awareness. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar. Experience using Causeway, Candy, CostX or Bluebeam. Membership of ICE, CIOB or RICS.
