Senior Building Surveyor60,000 - 70,000PermanentCentral London, LondonResidentialCommercialMixed-UseConrad Consulting is working with a highly respected property and construction consultancy that is looking to strengthen its London team with an experienced Senior Building Surveyor.This is a project-biased role, ideal for a Building Surveyor who enjoys getting involved in the delivery of refurbishment, maintenance and construction projects rather than focusing solely on professional surveying instructions.You’ll work with a broad range of commercial property clients, managing projects from initial scope and specification through to tender, contract administration and completion.The RoleAs a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll take responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of building surveying projects, including:Project management of refurbishment, alteration and maintenance schemesContract administration and employer's agent servicesPreparing specifications, schedules and tender documentationManaging competitive tender processes and contractor appointmentsCarrying out regular site inspections and monitoring progressManaging project costs, programmes and reportingIdentifying and advising on building defects and remedial worksPreparing planned maintenance and capital expenditure programmesBuilding strong relationships with clients, contractors and professional teamsSupporting junior surveyors and contributing to the continued development of the teamThe role offers excellent exposure to a variety of commercial, residential, retail and mixed-use properties, with the opportunity to work on interesting and technically challenging projects across London and the wider South East.About YouWe’re looking for an experienced Building Surveyor who has developed a strong project delivery background and is confident managing projects from inception through to completion.You’ll ideally have:MRICS qualificationStrong experience in building surveying and project managementProven experience delivering refurbishment and alteration projectsExcellent knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administrationStrong specification writing and tendering experienceExcellent client-facing and communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlinesA commercial approach and strong attention to detailWhy This Opportunity?This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor in London who wants to join a growing consultancy where project delivery is at the heart of the role.You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own projects, work closely with established clients and benefit from a collaborative team environment with genuine opportunities for career progression.
