Building Surveyor40,000 - 50,000Permanent Suffolk, East Of England Education Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a well-established property and surveying consultancy to recruit a Surveyor specialising in the Education sector to join its team in Suffolk.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Surveyor to work on a diverse portfolio of education properties, providing professional property advice and surveying services to schools, academies, trusts and other educational organisations.
The Role As an Education Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering professional property and surveying advice across a varied portfolio.
You will work closely with clients to understand their property requirements and provide practical, commercially focused solutions.
Your responsibilities may include: Providing professional surveying and property advice to education-sector clients.
Undertaking building and property inspections and preparing detailed reports.
Advising on planned and reactive maintenance requirements.
Preparing schedules of works, specifications and contract documentation.
Managing and monitoring refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects.
Providing contract administration and project management services. Advising clients on property condition, compliance and lifecycle requirements.
Assisting with capital investment and estate management programmes.
Liaising with schools, academies, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
Managing multiple projects and commissions from inception through to completion.
Developing strong and lasting client relationships.
About You The successful candidate will ideally have: A relevant surveying, property or construction qualification.
Experience within a building surveying, quantity surveying, project management or professional surveying environment.
An understanding of the challenges and requirements associated with education-sector property.
Strong technical and report-writing skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. A proactive, commercially minded and client-focused approach.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality professional advice.
MRICS qualification, or working towards MRICS, would be advantageous, although applications from candidates with relevant sector experience will be considered.
