I'm working with a leading construction and property consultancy to appoint a Senior Associate Cost Manager into their regional team. This is a senior role combining expert project delivery with client leadership, team management and business development offering genuine influence over the direction and growth of the cost management service.
The Opportunity
You'll take ownership of complex projects, key client accounts and team performance, operating with a high degree of autonomy as a trusted adviser to clients and a mentor to junior colleagues. Working closely with the Service Head and regional leadership, you'll play a central role in shaping the service offering and driving commercial growth.
Responsibilities of the Senior Associate Cost Manager:
- Leading cost management delivery from feasibility through post-contract and final account
- Taking responsibility for project financials, fees, billings and profitability
- Acting as the senior client contact, building long-term relationships and securing repeat business
- Supporting fee proposals, tenders and active business development
- Collaborating with Project Management and other service lines to deliver integrated solutions
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of cost managers
- Contributing to recruitment planning and resourcing as the service grows
- Maintaining compliance with H&S requirements, company procedures and professional standards
Requirements of the Senior Associate Cost Manager:
- Significant quantity surveying / cost management experience, with a track record at senior level
- Strong client relationship skills and commercial acumen
- Experience leading and developing teams
- MRICS qualified
