Role Overview
The Assistant Site Manager plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects by assisting with daily site operations. Working closely with the Site Manager, the Assistant Site Manager helps ensure works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager looking to develop their career within site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the construction site as an Assistant Site Manager
- Assist in supervising subcontractors, direct labour and site activities
- Monitor and promote health, safety and environmental standards on site
- Carry out quality inspections, snagging and progress checks
- Assist with site programming, material ordering and deliveries
- Maintain accurate site records, diaries and documentation
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors and suppliers in the Assistant Site Manager role
