Fire Engineer55,000 - 65,000Permanent City of London, London Healthcare Conrad Consulting is working with a growing multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy to recruit an experienced Fire Engineer to join their expanding Building & Fire Safety team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Engineer / Fire Safety Engineer looking to take technical ownership of complex projects, work directly with clients and play a key role in developing a growing fire engineering service.

The Role You will provide specialist fire engineering advice across a range of complex and higher-risk buildings, working alongside Building Surveyors, Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Principal Designers.

Key responsibilities include: Leading the preparation and review of fire strategies and fire engineering reports.

Providing technical advice on Building Regulations, UK fire safety legislation and BS guidance.

Supporting projects through the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) Gateway process.

Working on high-rise, complex buildings and external wall remediation projects.

Leading fire safety investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.

Acting as a senior technical point of contact for clients and project teams.

Supporting fee proposals, business development and client relationship management.

Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to technical standards and CPD.

What We're Looking For You should have:3+ years' UK fire engineering consultancy experience.

A degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

CEng/IEng status through the IFE or equivalent.

MIFire E/FIFire E would be highly advantageous.

Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and UK fire safety legislation.

Experience with BSR Gateway requirements and the Building Safety Act.

Experience working on high-rise or complex buildings.

Knowledge of external wall remediation and Golden Thread requirements.

Excellent communication, report writing and client management skills.

The confidence to take ownership of projects and provide professional technical judgement.
