An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Earthworks Foreman to join a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland. This role will suit a hands-on Earthworks Foreman with strong leadership skills and a solid background in delivering bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate site teams delivering bulk earthworks operations
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with programme, specifications, and health & safety standards
- Manage plant, labour, and materials to maximise productivity and efficiency
- Work closely with Site Engineers and Project Managers to ensure accurate setting out and delivery
- Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure workforce compliance
- Monitor progress and report updates to senior management
- Maintain high standards of quality control across all earthworks activities
- Ensure all site documentation and records are completed accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Earthworks Foreman on civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of bulk earthworks, cut & fill, and groundworks operations
- Ability to lead teams and drive productivity on site
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred
- CPCS/NPORS (advantageous)
- Full UK driving licence
