An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Earthworks Foreman to join a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor operating across Scotland. This role will suit a hands-on Earthworks Foreman with strong leadership skills and a solid background in delivering bulk earthworks and infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate site teams delivering bulk earthworks operations
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with programme, specifications, and health & safety standards
  • Manage plant, labour, and materials to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Work closely with Site Engineers and Project Managers to ensure accurate setting out and delivery
  • Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure workforce compliance
  • Monitor progress and report updates to senior management
  • Maintain high standards of quality control across all earthworks activities
  • Ensure all site documentation and records are completed accurately

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an Earthworks Foreman on civil engineering projects
  • Strong knowledge of bulk earthworks, cut & fill, and groundworks operations
  • Ability to lead teams and drive productivity on site
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations
  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred
  • CPCS/NPORS (advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence
