Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure, roads, earthworks and utilities projects across Scotland. \n

The successful

Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Working closely with operational teams, clients and subcontractors, the

Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining excellent commercial controls. \n

  • Manage the commercial delivery of multiple civil engineering projects. \n
  • Prepare, monitor and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts. \n
  • Produce monthly cost reports and commercial performance reviews. \n
  • Prepare applications for payment and client valuations. \n
  • Manage subcontract procurement, negotiations and contract administration. \n
  • Assess and agree subcontractor applications and final accounts. \n
  • Identify, value and negotiate variations and compensation events. \n
  • Ensure compliance with NEC and other standard forms of contract. \n
  • Work closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability. \n
  • Monitor project risks and implement effective commercial controls. \n
  • Attend client meetings and provide commercial advice throughout project delivery. \n
  • Mentor junior members of the commercial team. \n

Requirements Essential\n

  • Previous experience as a
  • Senior Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector. \n
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts. \n
  • Experience managing infrastructure, highways, utilities or renewable energy projects. \n
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills. \n
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting abilities. \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
  • Full UK Driving Licence. \n

Desirable\n

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying. \n
  • Membership of RICS or working towards chartership. \n
