We’re looking for an experienced Principal Designer / CDM Consultant to join a well-established consultancy in Bristol. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in design management and CDM regulations, who enjoys leading projects and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Principal Designer on a range of projects, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
- Provide clear health & safety advice to clients and project teams
- Lead risk assessments and coordinate risk management across design teams
- Review and sign off on design deliverables to ensure safety and compliance
- Mentor and guide junior staff in CDM responsibilities
- Liaise with contractors, clients, and designers to resolve complex design issues
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent highly desirable
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
