If you are an established Senior/Principal Landscape Architect who would relish the challenges of taking on Associate design lead responsibilities, a senior level appointment is available with a globally respected, commercially ambitious consultancy based in their Birmingham office.
The business is a Global Design, Engineering and Project Management consultancy offering architecture and engineering services to public and private sector clients.
They focus on intelligent, sustainable solutions and pride themselves on design excellence, technical quality and delivering projects that inspire and delight customers.
The teams work across sectors with a design-led approach and ongoing senior appointments to drive innovation.
The projects span Education, Transport, Flood Infrastructure and Urban Regeneration, providing opportunities to grow and specialise within a broad portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Design input to a range of projects including schools, rail, road, flood infrastructure, public realm and urban regeneration.
- Preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.
- Preparation of tender responses.
- Commercial management of bids and projects.
- Provision of landscape advice to external and internal clients.
- Understanding of project management, including financial management of projects.
- Resource allocation in liaison with the regional and national landscape senior leadership team.
- Mentoring junior staff.
Requirements
- A relevant landscape degree and Post Graduate Diploma or MA.
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute.
- Minimum 8 years post-chartership experience in a Landscape role, ideally in both public and private sectors.
- Experience in the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in schools, transport, flood infrastructure and urban regeneration.
- Excellent project management skills for multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proven ability to manage budgets.
- Competent in Auto CAD & Adobe software packages with a willingness to explore Revit, Sketch Up and Enscape for design and presentational outputs.
