Bid Writer Bid Writer An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bid Writer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure, highways, utilities and renewable energy projects across Scotland The successful Bid Writer will play a key role in securing new business by producing high-quality, compelling tender submissions that clearly demonstrate the company's technical capability, experience and value proposition.
Working closely with operational, commercial and estimating teams, the Bid Writer will coordinate the full bid process from initial enquiry through to final submission.

Key Responsibilities Produce engaging, high-quality PQQs, SQs, ITTs and tender submissions.
Coordinate the full bid process, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time.
Gather technical information from operational, commercial and estimating teams to produce compelling bid responses.
Write bespoke content tailored to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
Review tender documentation and identify submission requirements.
Develop and maintain a library of high-quality bid content and case studies.
Ensure all submissions are compliant, professionally presented and submitted within deadlines.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain technical information, project examples and supporting evidence.
Attend bid strategy meetings and contribute to winning submission strategies.
Monitor tender portals and identify new opportunities.
Support continuous improvement by reviewing feedback from successful and unsuccessful submissions.
Requirements Essential Previous experience as a Bid Writer , Proposal Writer or similar role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
Ability to produce high-quality, persuasive documentation to tight deadlines.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Experience coordinating multiple tender submissions simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or renewable energy.
Knowledge of public sector procurement processes.
APMP qualification or equivalent (desirable).
Experience using online tender portals including Public Contracts Scotland and Find a Tender.
